The Organization

IPPF/Western Hemisphere Region saves lives by reaching the most vulnerable people throughout the Americas and the Caribbean with millions of sexual and reproductive health services each year.

The Work

DG+CO provided media support for Alexander Sanger, Chair of the International Planned Parenthood Council, for Planned Parenthood's 100th anniversary, including media placements in The Guardian, Vox, and New York Magazine.

Echoing Green

The Organization

Echoing Green finds rare and exceptional emerging leaders, forges a community of global pioneers, and accelerates these leaders to impact the world. For nearly 30 years, this NYC-based nonprofit has driven social progress further, faster.

The Work

DG+CO managed media outreach for the announcement of Echoing Green’s 2016 class of fellows, securing coverage in business news outlets, such as Fast Company, Inc., and Entrepreneur. By publishing stories in target media markets and developing relationships with journalists at top-tier national news organizations, we worked to build Echoing Green’s presence externally and to position its new fellows for future success.

World Peace Foundation

The Organization

Established by the publisher Edwin Ginn in 1910, the World Peace Foundation aims to educate the world about the waste and destructiveness of war and to promote international justice and goodwill among humankind.

The Work

DG+CO launched a new report titled “African Politics, African Peace” – the most extensive review of the African Union’s peace missions ever conducted. We secured prominent media coverage of the report in media outlets across the globe and coordinated a virtual news conference in advance of the African Union Summit in Kigali, Rwanda.

National Institutes of Health

The Organization

The National Institutes of Health funded researchers to publicize the results of a special issue of the peer-reviewed journal Academic Medicine.

The Work

DG+CO’s media outreach secured coverage in mainstream and trade press including BuzzFeed, Mother Jones, and the Boston Globe’s new medical vertical STAT.

Center for Medicare Advocacy

The Organization

The Center for Medicare Advocacy advances access to Medicare coverage and quality health care for older people and people with disabilities by providing exceptional legal analysis, education, and advocacy.

The Work

DG+CO has worked with the Center for many years, establishing their reputation as an expert media source on Medicare issues. Through a proactive, strategic approach, we have secured media placements in a number of national outlets, such as NBC Nightly News, The New York Times, and many more. We also provide strategic direction on the Center’s advocacy campaigns – helping to drive important policy changes in the process.

Catholics for Choice

The Organization

Catholics for Choice shapes and advances sexual and reproductive ethics based on justice, reflecting a commitment to well-being, and respecting and affirming the capacity of people to make moral decisions about their lives.

The Work

DG+CO conducted outreach around the “Forum on Women in the Catholic Church – What Pope Francis Needs to Know.” We amplified the work of the progressive Catholic community by engaging reporters, writing and editing the press release, and developing social media strategy to put women on the national agenda in advance of the upcoming Papal visit.

The Organization

The Internet Archive is a digital, nonprofit library that offers permanent access to historical collections, for scholars, historians, and the general public.

The Work

DG+CO launched a highly successful media campaign around the archive’s new program to more than double the number of books available to people with disabilities. We secured several hundred media hits – including the Washington Post, Chronicle of Philanthropy, and Education Week.

The Organization

Seed Savers works to save North America’s diverse but endangered garden heritage by building a network committed to conserving and sharing heirloom seeds and plans, while educating about the value of genetic and cultural diversity.

The Work

Working to highlight Seed Savers’ vital role in the movement of seed preservation and build long-term public engagement on key issues, DG+CO conducted proactive media outreach to top regional influencers. Published stories focused on practical tips for garden maintenance, while increasing consciousness about the critical role heirloom seeds play in a healthy, genetically diverse food supply.

The Religious Institute is a multifaith organization dedicated to advocating for sexual health, education, and justice in faith communities and society.

The Work

DG+CO completed media outreach for the Religious Institute's new report titled “A Time to Embrace: Why the Sexual and Reproductive Justice Movement Needs Religion,” which surveyed 45 of the country’s largest and most influential nonprofits, religious denominations, and foundations that work on sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice.

The Organization

The "I Have A Dream" Foundation empowers children from low-income families to achieve higher education and fulfill their leadership potential by providing them with guaranteed tuition support and equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and network of mentors they need to gain entry to higher education and succeed in college and beyond.

The Work

DG+CO helped the national "I Have A Dream" Foundation launch a major organizational growth plan around its 35th anniversary. Through placements in media outlets across the country, we helped to highlight the foundation’s success stories and a landmark partnership with “CBS Cares.”

Lown Institute

The Organization

The Lown Institute, a nonprofit, action-driven think tank, is dedicated to transforming the culture of medicine and building a health care system that is affordable, effective, personal and just. The Institute was founded by renowned cardiologist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Bernard Lown, MD, and supports his vision for compassionate health care.

The Work

The Lown Institute's "Right Care" series, authored by 27 international health experts, examines the twin problem of medical overuse and underuse of global health care. This first of its kind scholarship was featured in a special print edition of the Lancet, highlighting the global financial and personal cost of inappropriate care. In partnership with our London-based strategic partner Bartley Robbs Communications, DG+CO led media outreach for the papers and launch event, securing widely syndicated coverage in the BBC, Reuters, HealthLeaders Media, PharmExec and more.
